Save an App Store competitor watchlist as an Apify task
We make App Discovery Radar at KamnevApps. If you already use Apify, you can save a few competitor links as one task, check them again later, and download the evidence without writing code.
1. Save your input
Open the productivity watchlist example. In the Input tab's JSON editor, paste the input below and save your own task. Replace the links with your competitors and choose a descriptive savedSearchId before your first run.

}countries chooses the storefronts; a country in a pasted URL does not override it. Select one to three supported countries. maxApps must cover apps × countries: these three apps across US, GB and ES would need 9 checks.
2. Keep the history, collect a fresh observation
Run the task. Its first successful observation establishes a baseline. For the next comparison, rerun the same saved task in your account, keeping savedSearchId, apps, countries and filters unchanged. Separate watchlists should have separate history names. Changing criteria starts a new comparison baseline.
Leave requestId out. A fixed value reopens the original operation instead of collecting a fresh observation. These steps create no schedule; run again when you want another check.
3. Read and download the result
After completion, open Report in the Output tab. Inspect Changes, then download CSV for matching app-country rows. Under Full source evidence & report files, choose Full evidence (JSON) for criteria, coverage and before/after evidence. The run's key-value store also contains REPORT.html, MATCHES.csv and RESULTS.json for download. Viewing, filtering or downloading an existing report starts no new run.
This compares bounded Apple Search/Lookup metadata such as listing name, version, price and rating count. It does not provide written reviews, rankings, downloads or revenue.
A quiet comparison is still a result
Our maker QA observations on 27 October 2026 used the same three US apps and criteria:
The later report compares directly with the repeat. No tracked metadata differences appeared. These are discrete observations, not continuous coverage or customer outcomes. Viewing the public examples is free.
Each fresh completed report costs $0.25, including the first baseline, unchanged and zero-match reports, with no additional Actor usage fee. Apify account terms apply separately.
