Compare an original image with a transformed copy and see whether C2PA Content Credentials remained valid, disappeared, or broke. Local browser check.
Content Credentials can carry signed information about an asset's origin and edits. Their absence means unknown: many cameras, editors, exports, messengers, and social platforms never add them or remove them during processing.
What SignalPass can establish It reports whether a readable C2PA manifest exists, the SDK validation state and failure codes, and whether that signal remains in the second file. It also compares size, dimensions, and counts of readable metadata fields. What SignalPass cannot establish It cannot decide that an image is real, fake, AI-generated, truthful, or deceptive. A valid credential authenticates a signed provenance claim; it does not verify every fact depicted in the image. Private by design The files are read by the open C2PA SDK and metadata parser inside this browser. Kamnevapps does not collect the selected files, filenames, embedded claims, or receipt values.
Workflow steps: Choose the original JPEG, PNG, or WebP image. Optionally download the copy produced by a platform and add it as the second file. Run the local comparison and save or share only the non-identifying settings receipt.
Common questions: Does no Content Credential mean an image is AI-generated? No. It only means this checker did not find a readable C2PA manifest. The origin remains unknown. Can I test Instagram, WhatsApp, X, or another platform? Yes. Keep the original, send or post it through the platform, download the resulting copy, and compare the two files. Respect the platform's terms and use files you are allowed to test. Are the images or manifests uploaded? No. Analysis happens locally in the browser and the result receipt omits filenames, file contents, metadata values, and identifiers.
